2 months...

Our little boy is now 2 months old! At his appt. yesterday he weighed 10lbs even, was 21 1/2in long, and his head was 41cm. Dr. Naylor said his height and weight were average but his head was above average...sounds about right! He is a happy, healthy little boy! He has some cradle cap (that has moved down onto his face as well) but other than that he is doing well...just lots of dry skin that I want to pick at!  He did have to get his first set of shots and was a sad little boy the rest of the afternoon. But he seems to be back to his normal self now!

He wakes up 2-3 times at night still (not so cool) but usually goes right back to bed. He sleeps a lot in his swing but we are starting to transition him to the pack n play. He is starting to spend more time awake and will laugh and coo for us! He loves to suck on his hands and is already a drooler! He likes to face forward when you hold him and wants to sit up as much as possible! He does not love the car and will scream until he finally falls asleep. He likes being carried in the sling and is ok in the front pack carrier but doesnt love that one as much.

Poor kid didnt know what was going to happen when he got his shots...happy one minute, sad the next.

First Day of Preschool...

Brody started preschool last week! The first week they only go 2 days instead of 3 (they split the class in half and half go on Tuesday and the other half on Wednesday and then they all go on Thursday).

Both of the boys have to be at school at 12:30pm and while they are really close to each other, this makes it a bit complicated! I talked to Jacks school about him taking the bus (he was really sad that he didnt get to) but they told me the bus would pick him up 1 full hour before school starts. We live about a minutes drive from the school so that just seemed ridiculous to me.

So on Tuesday we dropped Jack off (we get there early but his teacher doesnt come out until about 12:33 so I really have to hustle - the school said that I could drop him off at 12:25 but I guess the teachers dont get the same memo so I just have to wait) and then rushed down to the preschool. We were about 10 minutes late so all of the other kids were already in the classrooms. We were walking down the hallway and I suggested that Brody hang up his backpack on his hook (outside his room) and he started to get upset. I was holding Cohen and a few other things and so my hands were full. Another teacher was walking up behind us and tried to take Brody into the classroom and he sprawled out on the ground. Wow. By that time his teacher and Michelle were also out in the hallway and they all just told me to leave and they would take care of it! I love them! So I did. I told them that I think he wanted his backpack in his cubby (from an earlier conversation we had in the car) and walked out! After I got Cohen in the car Michelle peaked her head out to say he was fine.

When I went to pick him up after school he was happy as can be! Mrs. Papen said he did great! He seemed to have a good time! He just seems so grown up to me!

That night Brody wanted spaghetti and salad for dinner (his favorite)! I had set the boys plates on the table and before any of us sat down, Brody was at the table and almost finished with his plate of food.

The other day I was feeding Cohen and looked over to find Brody lounging in the bouncer. It does look comfy!

School...

Jack started Kindergarten this past Wednesday. The school district got rid of Back to School Night so we got to go with him to his classroom and get him all settled on the first day. I went with the 2 younger boys and Jack kept asking me when we were leaving. We only stayed for about 20 mins and then Jack got to finish out the school day and we picked him up! He seems to be enjoying school so far! His teacher, Mrs. Griffin, seems nice! The first day he told me that he got to have recess but that it was kind of boring because he didnt have anyone to play with (poor kid), but we talked about making friends and he did tell me that he is making friends and even remembers their names!

The first 2 days I picked him up he cried because he really wanted to ride the bus. Maybe it is irrational on my part, but I am scared to let him ride the bus with all of the older kids. He just seems so small still and you hear too many scary stories about the bus. But after loading all 3 kids up and dropping him off/picking him up for 3 days, I think I might let him give it a try! The bus stops right at our house (we live on the corner) and  even though he would be on the bus for a good 45 mins on the way to school, I think it is one of the first stops on the way home (he will only be with other kindergartners on the way to school and then it would be K-6 on the way home). So we will see how brave I get this week! I cant believe how big he is getting! He is so anxious to learn and I hope that only continues!

On Thursday, Brody got to go to a preschool orientation! He got to see his classroom, meet his teachers, and even get a special drink! He got to take Jack to preschool for a year and a half so he already knows everyone and they all know him which is kind of fun! Nothing too new, but they did make some changes so we got to see those and find his desk, cubby, hook, etc. He is excited to be in Mrs. Papens class! Again, I cant believe he is big enough to go to preschool! These kids just keep growing! I am nervous about him following the rules, playing nicely, sitting still, etc. but I know that he will learn those things and have a great time doing it! He starts preschool this week so we will see!

Catching up...

We have been busy these past few weeks!

Clay had a work party at the Woodland Park Zoo one night. They had food, entertainment, and of course we could walk around the zoo. We actually didnt get a chance to walk around too much and only saw a few animals but I would love to go back up some time when we can see more! The weather was so nice (almost a little chilly) and the boys had fun running around with their 'cousins' who were also there and seeing some of Clays coworkers they had met before!

We also moved! We are renting a house in Puyallup! We are getting it for a steal and are loving all of the room we have (and the fact that it has A/C)! Our landlord has been great to work with and we love the area! We are closer to the train station, church, and schools! Clay was able to take a few days off from work and we borrowed his parents truck and moved everything over the Labor Day weekend! We did have to rent a UHaul for the day on Saturday but we got most everything before that! We made a ton of trips! Clay did a lot of work and we had help from Chris, his parents, and someone from the ward and are so grateful for their help! We are slowly getting organized and making our list for IKEA! Brody even broke in the house the first night we started bringing stuff over by peeing on the floor! He had a rough couple of days and peed/pooped in his pants too many times to count but I think we are getting back on track and hopefully he will be all ready for preschool!

Cohen seems to grow every day! He sure is cute and we all love him! He is starting to smile, talk, and laugh at us and we love it! I love to hear Jack tell me that Cohen was smiling for him! And it is always sweet to hear Brody say 'its ok Cohen' when we are in the car and he is crying!

My 3 boys!

Woodland Park Zoo

Brody was SO excited to see animals on the map that I dont think it bothered him that we didnt actually get to see many of the animals!

As you can imagine these turned into quite the mess, but they sure enjoyed them!
Reagan and Jack! We missed the carousel so this was the next best thing!
